Terms of Service
Last updated: October 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of findstar.io, the FindStar platform at app.findstar.io, the FindStar MCP server and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by FindStar LLC ("FindStar", "we", "us").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you accept these Terms on its behalf and confirm that you have the authority to do so. In that case, "you" and "Customer" mean that organization.
1. The Service
FindStar is an interview intelligence platform. It screens CVs, helps schedule interviews, runs interviews in a built-in video room with a live transcript and an AI copilot, and produces AI scores and summaries for each candidate.
2. Beta and waitlist
The Service is currently in beta. We grant access to teams from the waitlist at our discretion, and joining the waitlist does not guarantee access. Beta features may change, be limited or be discontinued, and they may contain errors.
3. Accounts
- The Service is intended for business use. You must be at least 18 years old to use it.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for your credentials and for all activity under your account, including by users you invite.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Your data and candidate data
"Customer Data" means information that you or your users submit to the Service, including candidate CVs, interview recordings and transcripts, and the AI outputs generated from them. You own your Customer Data.
- You grant FindStar a limited license to host, process and display Customer Data only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We do not use Customer Data to train AI models.
- Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our processing of personal data in Customer Data is governed by a Data Processing Agreement, available on request.
You are responsible for:
- having a lawful basis to collect and process candidate data;
- giving candidates the notices the law requires;
- getting consent to record interviews and to evaluate candidates with AI where the law requires it, including under recording consent laws and laws on AI and automated decision tools in hiring;
- not submitting data that you have no right to share with us.
5. AI features
- AI outputs, including transcripts, answer grades, suggested questions, scores, summaries, strengths and weaknesses, are generated automatically. They may be inaccurate, incomplete or biased, and transcripts may contain speech recognition errors.
- AI outputs assist your team. They are not hiring advice or hiring decisions. You are solely responsible for your hiring decisions and for having qualified people review AI outputs before relying on them.
- You must not make hiring decisions based solely on AI outputs, or use the Service to discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others, including privacy and anti-discrimination laws;
- record or evaluate anyone without the notices and consents the law requires;
- upload malware, or probe, scan or try to breach the security of the Service;
- reverse engineer or copy the Service, except where the law allows it;
- access the Service by automated means other than the interfaces we provide, such as the MCP server;
- resell the Service or provide it to third parties without our written permission;
- use the Service to build a competing product.
We may suspend access if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or your use creates a security or legal risk.
7. Third-party services and AI assistants
You can connect the Service to third-party services, including AI assistants connected through our MCP server. When you connect one, you authorize FindStar to share with it the data it requests within the permissions you grant. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Fees
During the beta, access may be free or offered on terms agreed with you in writing. We will tell you before any fees apply. Paid plans are governed by the pricing and terms presented when you subscribe.
9. Intellectual property
FindStar and its licensors own the Service, including its software, design and trademarks. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your internal hiring purposes. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.
10. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other's non-public information that it receives in connection with the Service with reasonable care, and will use it only to perform under these Terms.
11. Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, email [email protected].
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or if the law requires it. We may end the beta, and will give reasonable notice where we can.
- After your account is closed, we delete or anonymize Customer Data within 90 days, unless the law requires us to keep some of it longer, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you need a copy of your Customer Data, contact us before your account is closed.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including those on Customer Data, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BETA FEATURES AND AI OUTPUTS, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDSTAR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ACCURACY, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDSTAR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL. FINDSTAR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FINDSTAR IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$100.
14. Indemnification
You will defend and indemnify FindStar against third-party claims arising from your Customer Data or from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, including claims by candidates relating to your hiring decisions or to notices and consents you were required to provide.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If the changes are material, we will notify Customers in advance by email or in the Service. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
17. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Data Processing Agreement or order form you sign with us, are the entire agreement between you and FindStar about the Service. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
